The Triple "AAA" Club

AAA= Achieving Awesome Attendance

CHARACTER TRAITS are being taught in grades K-5 by our counselor.  Lesson plans emphasize the 6 pillars of character.  Our goal is to teach each student to recognze the responsibility of self in relationship to others.

Each year we set school-wide goals.  these goals are in compliance with the "No child left Behind" act.  They include improving our academic success in reading, math, science and language.  however, they also include improving school attendance.  Last year we had 96% of our students in attendance daily.  Our hats are off to our parents for your support!  We would like to maintain this standard.  ATTENDANCE IS THE KEY TO SCHOOL SUCCESS!

We believe that teaching children character will directly contribute to our efforts.  In an effort to provide our students the opportunity to demonstrate real character we are establishing THE TRIPLE "AAA CLUB, (((AAA= ACHIEVING AWESOME ATTENDANCE).  Each quarter students who achieve perfect attendance for the quarter will be inducted into the SES AAA Club.  Perfect attendance means that a student has not accumlated any tardies or early dismissals and has been in attendance each and every school day, 8:00a.m until 3:00pm.  With the assistance of our Partner in Education, Winn Dixie of Semmes,  incentives will be awarded each quarter to each student who achieves this goal.  Mr. Sellers and his employees will sponsor a special celebration each quarter.

Your assistance and encouragement as a parent is what will make this project successful and teach our students real character traits.  IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, PLEASE SEE THAT YOUR CHILD IS IN ATTENDANCE FOR 100% OF EVERY SCHOOL DAY!
