RED RIBBON WEEK 2009

It's that time again... RED RIBBON WEEK

IS HERE!!! 

This year it takes place the week of Oct. 26th-

-Oct. 30th.  We will have red ribbons placed all around the school as a symbol of our emphasis on a drug free youth. 

Monday,10/26-"GIVE DRUGS THE BOOT"-Students can wear a cowboy/girl hat, vests, and a bandanna.  (Everything else has to be  school uniform.  No play guns!!)

Tuesday, 10/27- "PUT A CAP ON DRUGS"-Students can wear a hat to school.  It can be any type of hat.  It can be wild, crazy, funny, but nothing obscene or advertising anything with drugs or alcohol on it.)

Wednesday, 10/28 'TURN YOUR BACK ON DRUGS'- Students can wear their uniform shirts backwards.  (They can't wear their pants backwards... only their shirts.

Thursday, 10/29-'RED DAY"-Students will wear their red uniform shirts on this day.  (We will also be planting flower seeds as a reminder to say no to drugs on this day)

Friday, 10/30-"TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS"-Students can wear their favorite team jersey or team shirt, along with sweatbands on their head and wrists.

***This year our annual RED Ribbon Week dodge ball game will be Teachers against the 5th graders.
